I was just going through some old Vancouver Island photos and came across this leaping salmon shot. I’d spent days on a kayak with my wide angle waiting for one to leap right next to me and this was the best I got. It didn’t make the grade for my book but a nice reminder that there is no guarantee in wildlife photography for greatĀ images – even forĀ the most persistent person
