Matthew Maran
NEW WORKS

In the Summer/Autumn 2006 Matthew Maran visited the west coast of Vancouver Island, Canada, where he spent five months photographing the marine wildlife and landscapes of Clayoquot and Barkley sound.

Working in collaboration with Jamie's Whaling Station – a pioneering whale watching tour company – Matt spent hundreds of hours at sea photographing the local wildlife, including humpback whales, sea otters, sea lions, bald eagles and coastal black bears. In addition, his landscape photography covered the stunning scenery of The Wild Pacific Trail and endless bays and headlands between Tofino and Ucluelet. Matt has since returned to the area, and is now working on a long-term book project photographing the wildlife and scenery throughout the changing seasons of Barkley and Clayoquot.

London exhibition coming later in 2007!
