Behind The Scenes Shooting Kingfishers

It wasn’t my plan to get shots of kingfishers for my Hampstead Heath book. A fleeting glimpse is usually all anyone sees but after a conversation with the City of London ecologist and communications officer we decided to set up a hide in one of the conservation areas and try our luck. 2 weeks and 21 visits later I managed to capture two lovely shots and get to see some amazing behaviour in the process.
