The annual Boxing Day hunt meet is still a huge event in the UK despite the 2004 ban. Tensions ran high when I visited on 26th December 2019 with anti-hunting groups out in force making their voices heard. The story of foxes living in the UK is a fascinating one. Alongside badgers they are our last large carnivores and have been persecuted their whole existence yet have still managed to survive. With a new government on board we will wait and see if anything changes with the law, in the meantime it’s business as usual with hunts taking place all over the country with impunity.
