Space For Nature – a year long commission
In June 2016 I was commissioned by Clinton Devon Estates to document the wildlife and habitat across 25,000 acres of east Devon. It was produced over 18 months and published under my own imprint – Hemisphere Publishing in October 2017. The estate covers many terrains: pebbled heath, ancient woodland, coast, rivers and wildflower meadows. I was lucky to witness a beaver mother feeding with her five kits on the banks of the River Otter, the rare and beautiful cirl bunting and the delicate grasses and wildflowers among the lowland calcareous grasslands.
The book provides a landscape scale prospectus for nature across the Estate and identifies the key natural assets and how they can be enhanced for future generations.
This video features many images and behind-the-scenes footage from making the book.
