Wildlife In The City

I have visions of photographing a kestrel hovering in front of the Shard, looking for prey over the fields of Hampstead Heath. It’s all about timing and persistence, going there enough to be in the right place at the right time. This shot is the next best thing – the kestrel perched in just the right the place, with no distracting branches. The warm sunrise provided the perfect backdrop silhouetting the unmistakable shape of the raptor and the Shard.
